Oil prices are firming slightly on Friday morning despite a "record-breaking” 3.9m bbl increase in crude stocks reported on Thursday amid healthy US economic data and continued fears that tension in Iran could disrupt supply.
The front month contract for Brent crude North Sea oil last traded USD 0.18 firmer day on day at EUR 108.19/bbl on the Ice exchange, while the February WTI crude contract last changed hands up USD 0.25 at USD 99.90/bbl at Nymex.
