Oil prices look a touch firmer on Thursday morning as crude markets continue to mirror stronger equities while ignoring the bearish US inventory data, said players.
The front month contract for Brent North Sea crude oil was last seen changing hands at USD 51.19/bbl on the ICE platform, up USD 0.41 on Wednesday's close.
US commercial crude oil inventories increased above expectations by 4.1m bbl to 374.7m bbl in the week ending 24 April, figures released by the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) on Wednesday afternoon showed.
