Oil prices are firming amid profit-taking on Tuesday morning after a stronger dollar and concerns about the recovery in US oil demand sent WTI prices close to a two-month low on Monday, players said.
The front month contract for Brent North Sea crude oil was last seen changing hands up USD 0.24 at USD 76.67/bbl on the ICE platform, while the WTI January contract on Nymex last traded USD 0.25 higher at USD 74.18/bbl.
On Monday, the Brent contract closed down USD 1.09 at USD 76.43/bbl, while the WTI contract shed USD 1.54 to end the day at USD 73.93/bbl.
