Oil prices gained Monday on concerns that refineries will not be able to restore summer gasoline supplies and on Opec reluctance to increase production.
On Nymex the crude oil contract settled at USD 71.09/barrel, up 41 cents. The Brent crude front month contract gained USD 1.22 to USD 72.63/barrel, the highest level since the end of August 2006.
