Oil prices are falling on Monday morning on news the US is struggling to reach political consensus on raising its debt ceiling, increasing fears of a default.
The front month contract for Brent North Sea crude oil was last seen changing hands at USD 117.86/bbl on the Ice platform, down USD 0.81 on Friday's close.
