Oil prices are falling on Wednesday morning as estimates that US stock levels will increase give no indications that oil demand is picking up, players said.
The front month contract for Brent North Sea crude oil was last seen at USD 52.71/bbl on the ICE platform, down USD 0.79 on the previous close. In New York, the WTI contract for delivery in May last traded down USD 0.76 at USD 53.22/bbl.
On Tuesday, the Brent contract touched a low at USD 52.42/bbl before settling up USD 0.03 at USD 53.50/bbl, while the WTI contract closed USD 0.18
