Oil prices are softening on Thursday morning amid concerns that oil demand still is low despite a larger than expected fall in US inventories last week, players said.
The new front month contract for Brent North Sea crude oil was last seen changing hands down USD 0.17 at USD 74.12/bbl on the ICE platform after having closed up USD 1.42 at USD 74.29/bbl on Wednesday.
On Nymex, the WTI January contract last traded USD 0.25 lower at USD 72.41/bbl following a USD 1.97 gain in the previous session.
