Oil prices are softening on Monday morning, after rising strongly late on Friday.
The front month contract for Brent North Sea crude oil was last seen changing hands at USD 47.72/bbl on the ICE platform, down 65 cents on Friday's close.
The Brent contract for March delivery settled on Friday at USD 48.37/bbl, up USD 2.98 on the previous close, gaining support from Opec's stern stance on supply cuts, the Financial Times reported.
