Brent crude prices are continuing to trade above USD 100/bbl on Tuesday morning after exceeding that level on Monday for the first time in more than two years supported by political unrest in Egypt, said players.
The front month contract for Brent North Sea crude oil was last seen changing hands at USD 100.59/bbl on the ICE platform, down USD 0.42 on the previous close.
Brent's premium over WTI narrowed to USD 8.79 on Monday as the former rose USD 1.59 to settle at USD 101.01/bbl, while in New York the latter contract ended the day USD 2.85 higher at USD 92.22/bbl.
