Oil prices are edging close to USD 72/bbl on Thursday morning on signs of improving demand in the US, the world's biggest energy consuming nation, said traders.
The front month contract for Brent North Sea crude oil was last seen changing hands at USD 71.96/bbl on the ICE platform, up USD 0.22 on Wednesday's close.
On Nymex, the WTI July contract was last seen at USD 71.90/bbl, up USD 0.39 from Wednesday's finish.
