Oil prices are recovering slightly on Tuesday morning following the USD 3.49/bbl fall on Monday as poor economic sentiment continued to prevail, said players.
The front month contract for Brent North Sea crude oil was last seen changing hands at USD 49.98/bbl on the ICE platform, up USD 0.12 on Monday's settlement where the contract fell 6.8% in the biggest single day percentage loss since 30 March.
Falling US stock markets had dragged oil down with them, as the link between crude prices and stock market movements, particularly the US
