Oil dropped below the USD 50 a barrel threshold in New York on Tuesday. Elsewhere, it was a relatively quiet trading day for coal and carbon, although both markets ended the day up.
In New York, crude oil prices dropped below the USD 50 a barrel, settling down 1.42 to 49.50 on expectations that Wednesday’s US stockpile figures would show further increases in supplies.
