After initially being pushed up by the conflict between Russia and Georgia, oil prices resumed their southern track to finish softer day-on-day.
Brent crude for September dropped 66 cents to settle at USD 112.67 on the ICE in London, while light sweet crude in New York fell three quarters of a dollar to USD 114.40/barrel.
