Oil prices are rising on Thursday despite an unexpected rise in US crude stocks, although the longer-term outlook is more bearish, players said.
The front month contract for Brent North Sea crude oil was last seen changing hands at USD 114.98/bbl on the ICE platform, up USD 0.13 on Wednesday's close, while the WTI October contract on Nymex traded USD 0.30 higher at USD 89.11/bbl.
But players are unconvinced that crude will retain such levels.
