Oil prices are falling on Monday morning as the US dollar continues to strengthen and could correct down to USD 65/bbl if the currency continues to firm, said one analyst.
The front month contract for Brent North Sea crude oil was last seen changing hands at USD 69.95/bbl on the ICE platform, down USD 0.97 on the previous close. In New York, the WTI July contract traded down USD 1.21 at USD 70.83/bbl.
On Friday, the Brent contract settled down USD 0.87 at USD 70.92/bbl after having bottomed at USD 69.99/bbl, while the WTI contract shed USD 0.64 t
