Oil prices are trading slightly up at a record high for 2009 on Monday having slipped into a new trading range, following last week's positive inventory and economic data, said players.
The front month contract for Brent North Sea crude oil was last seen changing hands at USD 77.00/bbl on the ICE platform, up USD 0.06 on Friday's close.1
On Nymex, the WTI November contract, which expires later, was last seen at USD 78.55/bbl, up USD 0.02 on the previous close. The December contract traded at USD 79.00/bbl, a small drop of 2 cents.
