Activity in the gas and carbon markets was subdued due to the UK bank holiday, whilst oil gained in value as stockpiles are declining.
Crude oil prices increased yesterday as the market expects the decline in stockpiles to continue.
October gained 88 cents to USD 71.97/barrel in New York, while the corresponding contract on the London based ICE added some 33 cents to end the day at USD 70.95/barrel.The ICE contract traded at USD 71.12/barrel this morning.
