Oil prices continue down on Tuesday morning, building further on the drop yesterday that was caused by drops in equities and expectations that the recession is cutting back on Asian fuel demand.
The WTI February contract in New York was last seen changing hands at USD 39.32/bbl on the ICE platform this morning after having settled down USD 2.45 at USD 39.91/bbl on Monday.
In London, the front-month contract for Brent North Sea crude oil last traded 59 cents below the previous close at USD 40.86/bbl. On Monday, it ended the day down USD 2.55 at USD 41.45/bbl.
