The price for oil in the US moved back above the USD 60/ a barrel mark for the first time in four weeks. Elsewhere, carbon gained with coal also firming. However, gas prices fell, albeit still at a high level.
Crude oil for January delivery at the Nymex hit an intraday peak of USD 60.26 a barrel but retreated to close up 59 cents day on day at 59.91. In London , IPE Brent for January delivery gaiend 68 cents to USD 57.73 a barrel in late trading.
