Commodities - Oil and coal rally

Oil prices were lifted almost three dollars yesterday amid storm concerns in the Gulf of Mexico and the sliding dollar. Coal jumped even higher while carbon saw a late afternoon rally.
Brent crude gained two and a half dollars yesterday to settle at USD 80.03/barrel, and is further up this morning with a last trade of 80.40. At the New York Mercantile Exchange, front month WTI settled at USD 82.88/barrel, up 2.88 from the day before.Market players were pointing at the sliding dollar, which they said was drawing investors towards commodities.
