Crude oil prices rose significantly on Tuesday and closed above USD 100 a barrel in New York for the first time. Gas and CO2 followed the upwards movement, while profit taking sent coal prices down.
Oil prices soared yesterday, and in New York, the WTI crude for March gained USD 3.98 to close at USD 100.01/barrel, after reaching a new all time high of USD 100.10 during the session.The front Brent month gained USD 3.65 to settle at USD 98.56/barrel on the ICE, but has eased off to USD 97.81 in London this morning."Prices are rising sharply, but there is no simple explanation,"
