Commodities - Oil above 71!

The price of Brent crude oil has been propelled upwards by almost five dollars since the beginning of the month, and is currently trading comfortably above the 71 mark on a host of supply concerns.
Front month Brent crude settled at USD 66.84/barrel on 3 April, the first trading day of the new month. One week later, the contract settled at 68.75, and on Monday this week it settled at 71.46.  All in all, oil is currently up almost 9 dollars up on the Q1 average settlement price of 62.73 as a result of continuous supply concerns. IEA said last week that the oil market would be tighte

Tuesday was a day where records were broken across the board; oil prices not only reached but moved past previous highs, CO2 also ended Tuesday at an all time high of EUR 30.50/tonne and the German Cal 07 base settled at EUR 60.35/MWh.

Tuesday was a day where records were broken across the board; oil prices not only reached but moved past previous highs, CO2 also ended Tuesday at an all time high of EUR 30.50/tonne and the German Cal 07 base settled at EUR 60.35/MWh.

Oil, carbon and German power saw new record levels yesterday. Coal prices increased as well, while gas prices eased off.
