Oil prices oscillated around the USD 100-mark on Tuesday, with players expecting the price level to hold. Also coal and carbon prices strengthened, whereas the picture in the gas market was mixed.
On the Ice trading platform, the WTI crude oil contract for May delivery traded in a USD 99.13-101.86 range before ending the day up 36 cents at USD 101.22/barrel. The May Brent contract in London settled 74 cents above the previous close on the Ice platform at USD 100.60/barrel, after having peaked at USD 101.10/barrel.
