Oil prices retreated on Tuesday as traders searched for clues about the policy outcome of today's Opec meeting in Abu Dhabi. Carbon on the other hand, climbed on speculation and a bullish energy complex.
The WTI January contract at Nymex closed at USD 88.32 a barrel (-0.99) after having traded at USD 89.96 early in the session.
