Oil prices went down, whilst coal prices continue to gain in value as the heatwave in Europe increases demand.
Crude oil prices fell Friday as the US GDP for the second quarter turned out weaker than expected, and new hope was lit with reference to the cease fire between Hizbollah and Israel, WSJ reported. Nymex September contract dropped USD 1.30 to USD 73.24 a barrel, whilst the corresponding ICE Brent contract fell USD 1.62 to USD 73.39 a barrel on Friday. Coal over USD 70
