Commodities – Mixed picture

Oil prices went down, whilst coal prices continue to gain in value as the heatwave in Europe increases demand.
Crude oil prices fell Friday as the US GDP for the second quarter turned out weaker than expected, and new hope was lit with reference to the cease fire between Hizbollah and Israel, WSJ reported. Nymex September contract dropped USD 1.30 to USD 73.24 a barrel, whilst the corresponding ICE Brent contract fell USD 1.62 to USD 73.39 a barrel on Friday. Coal over USD 70

Commodities – Rising on Middle East, Nigeria and heat
Crude oil prices are still rising as the conflict in the Middle East continues, combined with worsened supply disruptions from Nigeria. The heatwave in both the US and on the continent is contributing to firm prices for other commodities as well.
