Mild weather continues to exert downwards pressure on prices in the commodities markets.
Carbon prices continued down on Monday with the December 06 contract trading between EUR 6.65/tonne and 7.15 before closing at 7.05, 15 cents down from Friday’s close at the ECX. Hungary sold Monday 1.197 million carbon allowances via the Vertis group’s trading platform for EUR 7.42/tonne, higher than the spot price obtained on Nord Pool (6.85) and Powernext (7.00).
