Prices firmed across the board yesterday, but oil prices eased off during the day.
Carbon prices continued their upward momentum yesterday, with the December 2008 contract gaining 50 cents to close at EUR 14.75 a tonne. Some players attributed to rises in the front year German power contract, which climbed 70 cents to close at EUR 52.50/MWh. The carbon 2008 contract is expected to stay in the current range until the remaining allocation plans are published.According to
