Commodities – Gas short term eases

Fuel prices opened in both directions at the start of the new trading week, with gas prices for short term delivery easing at both the NBP and Zeebrugge. Carbon remained stable below the 21 euro mark.
On Monday, the gas price development offered a mixed picture with strong price reductions especially on theUK and Zeebrugge short term markets. Prices remain though at firm levels. At the NBP, the spot price for Tuesday came out at a midpoint of 101.55 p/therm, down 31.70 day-on-day. Further out in the curve the second quarter for 2006 firmed slightly by 0.25 to a midpoint of 45.70. At the Dutc
