While gas and oil corrected downwards on Friday following very bullish developments earlier in the week, prices in the coal market are continuing their upward run on the back of supply fears.
Whereas the arrow pointed upwards in the gas market early in the week, prices both in the UK and on the continent eased off on Friday. Still, all contracts realised large gains from the previous week, with the front quarter on the British NBP-hub up almost three pence from last Friday despite shedding 1.05 pence to finish the week at 71.60p/th. Winter 08 dropped 0.25 pence to 102.10p/th
