The price for carbon allowances jumped yesterday as technical resistance levels were broken. Oil prices climbed further, among other things driven by the rally in US equities.
The December 2008 contract climbed EUR 1.14 to end the day at EUR 20.91/tonne on the ICE ECX platform. The contract reached EUR 21.00 during the afternoon, which is the highest price since 1 August.
