Crude oil prices were pushed up Thursday afternoon, on the back of strike threats in Brazil, while paper coal prices continued to soften.
Employees at Brazil's biggest oil company, Petrobas, threatened to go on a five-day strike next week on platforms in the offshore Campos Basin, where 80 per cent of the country's oil is produced.
