Crude prices are retracing prior-session gains on Wednesday morning following Tuesday's bearish American Petroleum Institute (API) data, analysts said, raising concerns about fuel demand in the US.
The front month Brent North Sea oil contract was last seen USD 0.36 softer at USD 76.57/bl, while its counterpart WTI contract on Nymex was last dealt at USD 75.58/bl , USD 0.20 lower day on day.
Contracts climbed down from prior-session gains in line with what some termed "extremely bearish” data from the API.
