Commodities - Crude oil lifted by geopolitical concerns

Crude oil rose almost a dollar yesterday with players citing geopolitical concerns as the main driver. Gas prices softened, while coal and carbon were mixed.
The ICE Brent front month gained 90 cents from Wednesday to USD 63.07 a barrel. The intraday volatility on the ICE ranged from USD 62.48 to 63.15/bbl. After a busy week, both liquidity and prices slowed down in the carbon market on Friday. Fuel prices also fell although Iran’s nuclear ambitions give some bullish input to the oil market.

Commodities - It’s not getting any cheaper
The case for fuel switching seems to have been lost a long time ago, and with the gas prices increasing again on Wednesday, CO2 prices appeared to be kept high by a keen buying interest in a busy session.
