Crude oil fell below USD 50 a barrel in New York yesterday following a surge in US oil and fuel stockpiles.
Oil futures dropped to USD 49.90 a barrel yesterday, for the first time since 25 May, 2005.The February contract fell as much as USD 1.76 to close at USD 50.48 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
