Crude oil prices rose on Friday, and are continuing up Monday morning, as colder US weather will boost demand.
Colder weather outlooks are expected to push the heating demand above average for this week. As a consequence, many players are buying back their short positions, and pushing prices up, Bloomberg reports.Crude oil for February delivery, which expires today, closed at USD 51.99 a barrel on Friday, and rose to USD 53.05 a barrel, in after-hours electronic trading on the New York Mercantile
