Commodities - Coal prices reach two-year high

The bull run in the coal market continued on Thursday, with contracts for ARA delivery reaching two-year highs. Other ommodities markets saw mostly losses yesterday.
There has been a strong upward movement in the coal market this week with prices rising further on Thursday. API#2 prices, delivered to ARA ports (Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp), passed the USD 80 mark for the first time since June 2004. According to Perret Associates, coal contracts are lifted due to historical highs for coal FobAustralia and a strong bounce in freight prices. Q3-07 gaine
