Commodities - Coal ends week firmly

Coal prices continued the bull run on Friday, while oil prices softened at the end of the week.
The coal market ended the week firmly, and the Q1-08 contract closed at a midpoint of USD 122.50/t on the API#2 curve, up USD 3.75 from Thursday. The contract gained a whopping USD 15.75 during the week. The Cal 08 contract settled at a midprice of USD 112.13/t, up USD 2.95 from Thursday and a weekly gain of USD 11.Meanwhile, prices for carbon allowances eased off on Friday. The December
