While first phase carbon prices bounced back to the EUR 9 level, other fuel markets ended Tuesday a touch bearish.
The price of first phase carbon prices bounced back to EUR 9.00/tonne, with traders citing renewed buying interest from banks and utilities. The benchmark December 2006 ended the day up 60 cents at EUR 9.05/tonne, while the December 08 contract closed at EUR 15.80/tonne. According to Point Carbon, around 2.7 million allowances changed hands on the OTC market, with an additional 2.2 milli
