Stronger German power prices were said to push up CO2 prices on Tuesday when all other commodities moved down.
Despite a bearish commodities picture, the benchmark December 08 carbon contract gained 25 cent on Tuesday to settle at EUR 22.60/tonne at the ICE/ECX. The rise was mainly attributed to stronger German power prices, according to Point Carbon.
