Carbon allowances for phase two of the EU ETS gained 60 cents yesterday after the European Commission ordered nine member states to make further cuts in their national allocation plans.
The December 2008 yoyoed after the announcement was made at noon, but eventually settled at EUR 18.45/tonne on the ECX, up 60 cents from Tuesday.“The commission has sent an unambiguous message.
