Brent prices are softening on Thursday morning after gaining strength in the previous session on the back of positive inventory data and a weaker dollar, said an analyst.
The front month contract for Brent North Sea crude oil was last seen changing hands at USD 78.17/bbl, down 72 cents on the previous session.
Analysts said profit taking after Wednesday's gains and a stronger dollar was likely to have put crude prices under downward pressure.
