Brent prices are trading at a 28-month high amid continued tensions in Egypt, while the New York WTI contract is falling amid a further increase in US crude oil inventories, players said.
The front month Brent North Sea crude oil contract was last seen USD 0.10 softer at USD 101.64/bbl, while WTI last traded USD 0.15 lower at USD 90.63/bbl.
This leaves Brent's premium over WTI at USD 11.01.
The American Petroleum Institute (API) reported that US crude stocks rose 3.8m bbl over the last week, more than the 2.7m bbl expected, players said, noting that
