Brent crude oil prices have surged to their highest levels since September 2008 as reports suggest political unrest in Libya is affecting the country's oil production, players said.
The front month contract for Brent North Sea crude oil was last seen changing hands at USD 108.30/bbl on the ICE platform, up USD 2.56 on Monday's close.
The Brent front month settled at USD 105.74/bbl, up USD 3.22 on Friday.
