Brent oil prices are rebounding on Friday morning after the sharp losses seen the previous session, although its premium to the WTI continues to be subdued by recent standards.
The front month January contract for Brent North Sea crude oil was last seen changing hands at USD 108.53/bbl on the Ice platform, up USD 0.30 on Thursday's close, while the WTI January contract traded USD 0.24 lower at USD 98.69/bbl.
This left the January WTI-Brent spread at USD 9.84, compared to USD 9.28 on Thursday. Levels are substantially below the front-month spreads
