Both oil and coal fell strongly yesterday, sending bearish signals to Europe's power markets.
Brent crude for September closed at USD 117.70/barrel on the ICE, down 2.98 day on day.  The corresponding WTI contract at Nymex dropped 2.24 dollar to settle at USD 119.17.
