The CO2 market was lifted yesterday, influenced by rising gas prices. Coal prices rose as well, while oil fell more than a dollar due to rising US stockpiles.
Gas prices continued up yesterday, driven by supply outages which lead to a spike in prompt prices. On the UK NBP hub, the Q2-08 contract rose 0.65p to settle at a midprice of 47.35 p/therm, while Cal 09 gained 0.60p to close at 53.35 p/therm.
