Wednesday saw declining prices across the energy related commodity markets, with the highest losses in the carbon market.
The 2005 vintage on the carbon market fell by two euros to around the EUR 22.00/t mark on Wednesday. Market participants attributed the losses to increasing trading activity of eastern European countries, especially from the Czech Republic , although they were not trading big volumes. Oil prices are moving upwards again, on the back of stronger than expected economic figures from China and renewed strength of hurricane Emily. Carbon prices once again moved sideways yesterday while coal continued down.
