Crude rose strongly yesterday as strong winds caused supply disruptions in Alaska. Prices are softening this morning but Brent for January remains above the USD 60/barrel mark.
Brent crude for January was last seen at USD 60.13/barrel this morning, down 26 cents from yesterday, when the contract gained 1.41 to close at 60.39. Prices also rose strongly at the Nymex on Tuesday, with the January contract gaining 1.37 to end the day at 60.17.A major reason for the rise was that bad weather disrupted loading at Alaska ’s main export terminal, reducing capacity
