Commodities – A bearish day

On a day when crude oil prices dipped below the 70 dollar mark, gas and carbon prices also moved south.
Oil prices dropped below USD 70 a barrel on Tuesday as it became clear that hurricane Ernesto would not disrupt US oil supplies. In addition, concerns about a slowing US economy were also a factor in softening prices. In London, the ICE Brent crude October contract closed down 96 cents to USD 69.86 a barrel, while in New York, West Texas Intermediate crude for October fell 80 cents to US
