The front quarters are slightly weaker in the Nordic market on Tuesday morning due to profit taking, while the years are rising on oil and coal, traders said.
The bellwether Q2-09 contract opened weakly, touching a low of EUR 37.50/MWh in early trading, but later recovered to EUR 38.60/MWh, down 5 cents on the previous settlement. "There's no fundamental change, only a correction on profit taking,” a Finnish trader said, adding that dry weather forecasts had already been discounted into the curve.
